The Memory of Glenn Gilmar

[1929 to 2006]

Glenn will be remembered
by his many friends and acquaintances.

He was a true 'star' in his own right,
and has touched the hearts of so many.

It was my pleasure to have known Glenn for more than 12 years as a very good friend and as a participant in my line dancing classes. We also spent many enjoyable times attending plays, movies, and restaurants, as well as taking trips together. Glenn was a very special person: genuine, kind-hearted and generous, and I know I will miss him, as will others who have known him.

Glenn had a real zest for life, particularly when it came to the arts and theatre, and he lived life to the fullest in that regard. He enjoyed character roles in his earlier years, and he maintained his own unique character and personality right to the end. I'll always remember Glenn for his little chuckle and that little (mischievous?) twinkle in his eye.

To quote from William Shakespeare,

" All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts . . .",

these words best describe Glenn.

So....HERE'S to Glenn!

A befitting award symbolizing
His passion for life,
His unique personality and style,
His kindness of heart,
His dedication to friends,
and
(last, but not least)
His MAJOR ROLE on the world's stage,
Which ALL of us will hold in our hearts,
and never forget!
